Many of you reading this electronic newsletter were among the first to read Facing Justice, which we found time to write between cases, after a publisher suggested we write a novel based on our exciting careers. When we finished it, a sense of accomplishment mingled with a nagging question, what would readers think of our first novel? When many of you told us you enjoyed Facing Justice, and wanted another, it was very encouraging. We wasted no time writing Confirming Justice. While featuring some characters from the first novel, the plot lines stand alone. In this age of blaming others, we now blame all of you who demanded another title for causing us to ignore our real work and write a third novel! Truthfully, we enjoy it so much we would have done it even without your insistence.

You ask what third novel? We are thrilled to announce, The Camelot Conspiracy, is finished and should be in most book stores by the end of November. Remember Mary Katherine, “Kat” Kowicki, the feisty TV reporter who badgered federal agents Eva Montanna and Griff Topping as they pursued terrorists in Facing Justice? Or when Kat threatened to spill the beans about Judge Dwight Pendergast’s career opportunity in Confirming Justice?

In Camelot, we shine the light on Kat’s dreams and failures. When her conflict with U.S. Senator Lars Zorn boils over, she is shunted back to Chicago, where her career began. Anger and embarrassment soon turn to opportunity. Kat receives evidence about President Kennedy’s assassination, which a retired Chicago Police detective gave to the FBI but was never made public. From a vacation home in Pentwater, Michigan and Chicago, Kat stirs up a hornet’s nest of intrigue as she begins to investigate the information. She is shocked to be targeted by former government agents hoping to keep hidden, secrets old and new. Kat turns to two people in the U.S. justice system that she trusts. However, Eva Montanna, and Griff Topping are deep into their own investigations, which you will have to read the book to find out about!
