After last week’s episode Return to Sender, (which we panned) we wrote that if this week’s show turned out as bad, we would pass on writing a critique. Again in Homefront, the producers have largely served up another loser. Michael Weatherly, who plays “Very Special Agent” Anthony DiNozzo, was nowhere to be seen, although his name was mentioned a few times.
An historical event is featured. For the first time in history, a non-news show got to shoot actual scenes inside the White House (the People’s House). The producers deserve some credit for awkwardly fitting this sequence into a show where it didn’t seem to fit. But, who could pass up such an opportunity?
Another worthy moment happens when the military family is reunited near the end. Tears filled our eyes and we thank all our men and women in uniform for their service to our country.
Regarding this episode, we’ve said too much already. The show is to be continued for the next two, and went off the air bloody and gore-filled once again. Boo to the writers.
Be Blessed, Diane and David Munson
All I can say is Ditto. I concur. You and I both know what has happened here, as has happened to so many good series in that past no longer with us. Real , and I do mean real talent comes with a price, and when you have a compliment of top quality writers, as they did in the past , they no longer wanted to spend the money. This is more than obvious in a number of scripts leading up to this program. The thrift of the Network than owns these programs will ultimately lead to their demise. And this truly angers me to no end. I now know why there is so much music override on these shows. To cover up crappy dialogue. I think I need to stop now.
No show Tony: Most likely Tobias will die to make room for the new stars they are going to introduce in the next two weeks. How many more will exit in the next two weeks. Miserable writing what a waste of talent. As liberal as the show has gotten I am surprised they did not arrest the kid for defending himself
It looks like NCIS fans are all on the same page. Tragically. but to be sure….. I concur…..
DD933 the USS Barry, the Navy ship shown in the NCIS shots of the Washington Navy Yard was permanently towed away this weekend. Barry had been a exhibit ship at that location since 1982 with 9000 visitors annually The navy says there are no plans to replace the Barry with another ship.
The turn table bridge is being replaced with solid drive over bridge that would have trapped the Barry at the Navy yard and also prevents ships from entering the Navy yard.
Barry was the third Forrest Sherman-class destroyer built and the fourth vessel to bear the name of the Revolutionary War naval hero, Commodore John Barry. Commissioned Sept. 7, 1956, Barry served 26 years in the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets.
Well sir to let you know. there is someone out here who greatly appreciates this additional information pertaining to our armed forces. as a veteran I feel it to be a good thing to keep up with what ever I can through whomever is willing to provide their knowledge. Thanks….,
Tonight’s show was terrible!. It was billed as Tony’s last two shows with a big send off. He was used very little and seemed pretty useless to the show. It was more important to showcase the two new agents and almost forget Tony was there. I will watch next week but it will be my last. I am over this, my former favorite show. No more.
Judy says it all. We wonder how many other viewers have already quit watching. Judy, if next season, you venture back to watch an episode, and you decide to watch some more, we’d welcome your comments.
